Please note: A New-Kings Neighborhood Service Provider™ (NSP) comes in one of two flavors, either a one-person, solo operation, or a larger company. The term “NSP” applies both to solo operations and larger companies. The term “SSP” is limited, and refers only to a New-Kings Solo Service Provider.™
Your application fee includes publishing your company information on the NKR website, for up to a year. For a New-Kings Solo Service Provider™ (SSP,) the application fee is $250.00. SSP’s who charge $49.00 per call, will pay for the whole year after the first six calls.
For a larger company, the base application fee is $300.00. That covers two personnel who run light-roadside calls, or two service vehicles. Beyond two service vehicles, add $50.00 each. Any vehicle that can run a light-roadside call for your company counts as a vehicle. That includes your subcontractor who operates her own vehicle. That also includes light-duty tow vehicles. That excludes vehicles dedicated to heavy-duty service, such as heavy-duty tow vehicles, and box trucks for heavy-duty roadside assistance, unless you also use them to run light-roadside calls. Ditto for medium duty. In cases where your application fee is above $500.00, if you feel that your circumstances are complex, where the above pricing policies don’t make sense, then request a custom rate.
As a new NSP, you can elect to pay quarterly. SSP’s $99.00. Larger companies $120.00, plus $20.00. Your first year only. Switch to annual any time.
Some early players might get a special rate. If your home zip code is in or near a city (technically, in one of the 58 most-populous Combined Statistical Areas [CSA,]) and you are one of the first SSP’s in your area to join NKR, then you might get a special application fee of $99.00, including your company’s listing for up to a year. Divide your CSA’s population by 80,000. If the website lists more NSP’s than that in your area, then this option is closed. If you see only a few NSP’s listed, then this might be an option for you. NKR reserves the right to withhold this offer from any applicant. NKR reserves the right to terminate this offer at any time.
If the population density of your coverage area is below 2000 per square mile, and the median household income is below $60,000.00, and you are eligible to be listed as a SSP, then you can request a custom rate.
Ideally, a user connects directly with a listed NSP, with no direct, per-call intervention from NKR. If, however, the user finds no NSP listed, or finds that no listed NSP is available, she can call NKR to request a referral.
We don’t need this option in an area where users enjoy good coverage from listed NSP’s. This is for areas with few listed NSP’s, and where you, as the provider, for whatever reason, are not ready to join NKR in the normal way.
With this option, NKR lists its own contact information in your area. The customer pays NKR $49.00 for a basic service call. NKR contacts you to confirm your ETA of 30 minutes or less.
The money breakdown:
$2.00, processing
$29.00, NKR’s cut
$18.00, NSP’s cut
Beginning with your start date, for every call you complete, NKR discounts your first-year’s application fee by $8.00. After 32 calls, NKR automatically converts your listing to a normal listing. After converting, users find your company’s listing and contact you directly. Because there’s no longer a need, NKR stops referring calls to you.
You can convert your listing any time, to a normal listing, and apply any discount that you earned within the year prior to your conversion date.
There is no application fee for this option. Larger companies are ineligible. Your company must meet the eligibility requirements for a New-Kings Solo Service Provider™.
After publishing listings in your area for new providers, NKR will discontinue the per-call option, because at that point, users will be calling the listed providers directly. You can then elect to convert to a normal listing. You’ll have a month to claim any discounts before they expire.
