User Bill of Rights, New Kings of Roadside LLC

Please Note: A New-Kings Neighborhood Service Provider™ (NSP) comes in one of two flavors, either a one-person, solo operation, or a larger company. Some provisions below apply only to solo operation, and not to a larger company. For a New-Kings Solo Service Provider™ (SSP,) NKR publishes the owner’s portrait photo in his/her NKR listing. Furthermore, an SSP answers his/her own phone, and arrives to perform the service himself/herself. By contrast, with a larger company, it could be any one of several people who arrives to help you. The term “NSP” applies to both solo operations and larger companies. The term “SSP” is limited, and refers only to a solo operation.

1) When you select a New-Kings Solo Service Provider™ (SSP,) his/her face must match the photo of the SSP published on the New Kings of Roadside LLC listing-service website.

2) NSP must honor the NSP’s published price for a basic service call where the scope of the service required by the user is within the scope of a basic service call.

3) NSP must publish, on the SSP’s website, the terms and conditions that govern the transaction, or adopt the “NKR Standard Terms and Conditions between a New-Kings Solo Service Provider™ and the User” published on the NKR website.

4) NSP must, to a reasonable extent, attempt to ascertain the user’s needs in advance, prior to payment. Where surcharges apply, the NSP must notify the user and secure in advance the user’s approval for any surcharges, prior to payment, except where the information provided by the user is inaccurate or incomplete, or where the NSP could not have reasonably ascertained the circumstances in advance.

5) When you select a SSP, he/she must personally answer his/her own phone.

6) NSP must provide an accurate initial ETA.

7) From ten minutes to seven minutes prior to the NSP’s arrival at the user location, NSP must attempt to call the user via cellular telephone to notify the user of a precise ETA.

8) NSP must arrive equipped with all basic equipment, in good working order, required to complete the service.

9) NSP must have experience and/or training using the basic equipment with the user’s vehicle type.

10) As a courtesy to the user, the NSP must submit the original invoice for the service call, in a timely manner, properly completed, to the user’s roadside-assistance plan.
